This past week we welcomed Hasami Porcelain dinnerware to our Milwaukee shop and online store. A staple of design-minded shops like ours across the USA, Hasami Porcelain wares are best known for their clean lines and stackable design.
This modularity, a common feature among various Japanese serving devices, gives owners the ability to mix together their own unique collection for their intended purpose. The hefty pieces have more durability that other porcelain dinnerware, thanks to additional clay in the mix.
Each pieces comes from Hasami, Nagasaki, Japan, a historical village with a long tradition of porcelain manufacturing.
At Commonplace, we're pleased to add these pieces as a further diversification of our tableware offerings and to join the ranks of popular design shops with Hasami Porcelain on their shelves. Bringing brands and makers popular in other areas of the United States to our home city of Milwaukee is a key goal of our shop - and this addition of Hasami Porcelain is a wonderful example of that continued push to bring new design items to Milwaukee.
